Lucky Slice opens, a hotel is on the way
A new pizza spot opened on Main Street, a hotel is finally going up at a longtime local landmark, and your high schoolers had a big week. Here's what happened.
Lucky Slice Pizza is open on Main Street
A new Lucky Slice location opened Monday at 135 S Main Street, taking over a space the city bought specifically to bring more restaurants downtown. Hours are Monday through Thursday 11 AM to 9 PM, Friday and Saturday 11 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday noon to 9 PM. Visit the Lucky Slice website
A hotel is coming to Bountiful
Construction has started on a TownePlace Suites by Marriott at the old J&L Nursery site, next to Culver's. The 87-room hotel will include an indoor pool and is expected to open in 2027. It fills a gap left when the Holiday Inn Express across the street was taken in the I-15 expansion. Read the full story

The South Davis Recreation Center is celebrating its 19th anniversary on April 23 with discounted admission and prizes. Daily entry is $2.50 off as part of the America250 celebration. A good excuse to get the family out.
Free piece of history at the Bountiful Museum
The Bountiful Museum is handing out free miniature copies of the Declaration of Independence as part of the America250 celebration. Kids can sign and personalize their own copy. Worth a quick stop if you have little ones.
